Spring Lock Washers
Spring washers are available in various materials and diameters at competitive prices. Also known as split lock or split ring washers, they are a split circular disc of metal that has a large internal diameter with one of the split ends slightly raised. They are supplied in generally two types, with these having a square or rectangular profile.
Spring lock washers are generally used to prevent a fastener from loosening because of vibration. The washer compresses when the fastener is tightened which adds tension and reduces the loosening action from any vibration.
